SPLISH SALON SYSTEMS, INC. INTRODUCES COMMERICAL RECYCLING TO CONIFER FOR ITS

"FLIP THE EARTH™" WEEKEND

Conifer, CO March 9, 2008: Splish Salon, the "cut of a new revolution™" will introduce commercial recycling to Conifer in Celebration of Earth Day 2008. This April 18-20, Splish Salons will begin celebrating its Flip the Earth 2008 event with festivities happening the entire weekend. The celebration will kick off Friday morning when Allied Waste Services delivers three large receptacles for recycling. Residents and local businesses may drop off plastics 1-7, glass, Newspaper, office paper, Card board and steel and aluminum cans for recycling. The bins will remain in the Conifer Town Center parking lot all week long.

The weekend festivities continue as Splish will be hosting a light bulb exchange program, a body/hair care exchange program, a financial fundraising drive and its annual charity day. All revenues raised over the weekend will be donated to the local Mountain Resource Center and the Western Resource Advocates.

Splish Salon will be hosting a product and light bulb exchange program. The hair and body care exchange program will be benefiting the Mountain Resource Center. Splish will be collecting any unopened body and hair care products. Those making a donation will in turn receive a 15% discount off any Aveda replacement products. These unopened items will be then donated to the Mountain Resource Center. In addition to the product exchange programs, Splish will be sponsoring a fundraising drive to benefit both the Mountain Resource Center and the Western Resource Advocates. In appreciation of those making financial donations to the campaign Splish with support from American Clay, Keller Williams, and Conifer Jazzercise will be rewarding donors with commemorative flip the earth merchandise. All funds collected over the weekend will be donated 50/50 to the Mountain Resource Center and the Western Resource Advocate. The light bulb exchange program is in part, being generously underwritten by Hutchinson Lumber in Pine. Guests to the event may turn in non-energy efficient light bulbs and receive a free energy efficient bulb. Limited supplies are available and a maximum of 4 bulbs may be exchanged.

 

On Sunday April 20, Splish will host its annual charity day; 100% of service revenue and 10% of product sales will be donated. All Splish staff volunteers their time and 100% of their tips.
